Executive Coach
Coaching and training for professional and personal development
What I do
My coaching clients often come with quite specific professional challenges or objectives and therefore I usually start with a solution-focused performance coaching style, enabling clients to address immediate goals with clarity and efficiency.
When clients gain greater self-awareness, I transition to a developmental and transformational coaching approach. This shift allows us to explore broader personal aspirations and long-term growth.
Throughout the journey, my clients remain in the driver’s seat—setting the direction and pace. I’m there to support and challenge them, ask tough questions, and offer fresh perspectives that inspire meaningful and lasting development.
I help people enhance the level of trust, create openness and learn how to communicate with clarity and respect in their teams. This is particularly important when solving problems that stand in the way of achieving common goals.
In order to reach all the above, I work closely together with the team leader in planning the development sessions. I conduct interviews with all the team members prior to the sessions and provide further coaching as needed.
I run these courses both face to face and virtually via different platforms.
Who I am
I am a executive coach and organizational consultant with more than 25 years of experience in conducting training courses in leadership and teamwork development for various organizations in Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. I also offer individual coaching for both corporate and private clients.
I started my professional career as a lecturer at Tallinn University in Estonia, where I later also served as Head of the Technology Department. While working as a lecturer, I grew increasingly interested in counselling psychology. This led me to pursue certification as a communication skills trainer and I spent the next several years conducting communication skills courses at both Tallinn University and Estonian Business School.
In order to further expand my knowledge base and skills in this field, I moved on to study gestalt psychotherapy, coaching, and organizational consulting at GIS International (an EAP and EAGT accredited training institute in Denmark) and received my Gestalt Certificate in 2003. During the course of my training at GIS International, I started to work with large multinational organizations in Scandinavia in the area of leadership and organizational development. These studies, combined with my prior experience, have equipped me with the skills to deliver coaching and training interventions with the appropriate depth and intensity ensuring the required impact on clients’ development.
My client base includes organizations of various sizes from a multitude of industries within both the private and public sector. For a number of years I was also involved in conducting training for vocational education teachers. Whereas most of my experience has been attained from working with organizations in the Nordic region, I moved to Luxembourg several years ago and have since then been consulting for various organizations in Western Europe, as well as in Central Asia and Middle East, and lately, due to advances in virtual meetings technology, also in APEC and AMER regions.
Working in different countries with people from contrasting cultural backgrounds has given me invaluable experience in helping people with team development while accounting for the differences in cultures within the unit.
My primary languages are English and Estonian but I also speak Finnish, Russian, and French.

What clients are saying about me

No-nonsense, gentle, yet challenging coach and trainer!
I had the pleasure to work with Kasper on a number of occasions.
The first was as a personal coach, while I was transitioning to a new role with more responsibility. He helped me to overcome the mental hurdle that this new role would be more difficult. With his calm, yet challenging manner he took me through the journey of self-discovery that the size of any challenge depends entirely on your own perception. With Kasper’s guidance I was able to develop a more open and resilient attitude to big changes.
On the second occasion, I participated in a training by Kasper on emotional intelligence. While the content of the course contained the rational elements, his soft coaching approach ensured the group was able to open up and discuss some difficult topics, to result in more mutual respect and understanding.
I would recommend Kasper to anyone looking for a no-nonsense, gentle, yet challenging coach and trainer.

Very positive impact!
I am a Director of a training company in Germany and have been lucky enough to have been coached by Kasper for over a year now. In my time working with him, he has hugely helped me to manage difficult situations at work, as well as to develop my skills to allow me to tackle future situations with more ease. My stress levels have been significantly reduced by following his advice and this has had a very positive impact on my personal life. Kasper as a person is very knowledgeable and experienced and he really listens well. His English is superb, so much so that I forget that he is a non-native speaker. I couldn’t recommend his services highly enough and I am so glad that I am still working with him.

Good support over several years!
I have worked with Kasper Kivilo in different companies and roles over past 15 years on both personal and team development. He has helped me to address my behavioral patterns during numerous personal sessions. Gestalt therapy methods combined with coaching have been a good mixture to support my development process. Kasper’s team development method goes beyond symptoms and addresses underlying issues in the team. After working with Kasper in team setting, team members gain higher awareness on how their behaviours affect team performance. Working in group setting rewards team members to become open about their vulnerabilities and they feel more comfortable using their strengths. At times, people have initially struggled with opening up in in work environment, but eventually the work has always brought improved team atmosphere, level of trust and performance. I recommend Kasper if you have serious aspiration and readiness to work on improving your performance by becoming a more authentic leader or a team.
